In 1973, a group of interested citizens from West
Pubnico got together and decided to organize an historical society as one way of working
toward the preservation of their heritage.
Discover the history and the authentic culture of Acadians through collections of artifacts and historical documents at the Musée acadien, as well as a multitude of activities emphasizing the traditional Acadian way of life from the past to the present day. Discover the fishing industry, participate in our Acadian kitchen parties, meet our craftsmen and participate in our workshops, visit the Acadian garden and learn to print on an old press.
